Pius Hadzide says Kennedy Agyapong had comprehension issues with the peace pact document Pius Hadzide says Kennedy Agyapong had comprehension issues with the peace pact document

Pius Enam Hadzide, spokesperson for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Bryan Acheampong, has attributed the concerns raised by Kennedy Agyapong during the signing of the party’s peace pact to comprehension issues rather than mistakes in the document.

“There was no mistake on the face of the document. If there was a challenge, it would have been a comprehension issue from Kennedy Agyapong”, he stated in an interview on Oyerepa TV on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Pius Hadizde further noted that the party has a separate framework that addresses election violence and misconduct during the primary.

“There is another framework that addresses election violence and misconduct, that is separate from the peace pact document, Bryan and the other aspirants signed the peace pact document, there was no mistake,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Kwasi Kwarteng, spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong, has clarified that the concerns arose from a missing clause in the document.

The peace pact, signed by all five aspirants, commits them to party unity, acceptance of the electoral process and its outcomes and ensuring that supporters do not engage in actions that could undermine peace within the party.
