RIP: Beautiful Photos of Wicknell Chivayo’s Wife Who Died in a Helicopter Crash With Her Husband

Photos have emerged of the little-known wife of Wicknell Chivayo, Lulu Muteke, who died with her husband today in a helicopter crash.

Lulu, whose full name was Lucy Muteke Chivayo, was a Zimbabwean personal shopper, model and social media personality. She became well known after her relationship with businessman Wicknell Chivayo was made public.Lulu worked in the fashion and lifestyle industry, helping clients find and buy luxury fashion and other high-end products. She was also involved in modelling and social media work.

She was born in 1991 and generally kept information about her early life and education private. Her public profile grew after she and Chivayo began appearing together publicly in December 2024.

Their relationship developed quickly. Chivayo proposed to Lulu in February 2025, and the couple held their traditional wedding ceremony in March at Lulu’s family home in Marondera, Zimbabwe.

Their wedding attracted several well-known guests and entertainers. The couple later held a religious wedding ceremony as they continued their life together.Since their marriage, Chivayo have often shared photos and messages celebrating Lulu on social media. Lulu, however, preferred to keep a lower profile despite the attention surrounding her marriage.

Before marrying Lulu, Chivayo had been married to Sonja Madzikanda. The two married in 2017 and had two children before their marriage ended in divorce.

Lulu and Chivayo’s lives were tragically cut short on Wednesday evening when the helicopter carrying them crashed in a rural area of Marondera, east of Harare.

Zimbabwean government spokesperson Nick Mangwana confirmed that all six people on board died in the accident. Those on the helicopter included Chivayo, Lulu, three other passengers and two pilots.

Police also confirmed the crash and said the names of the victims would be officially released after their identities were confirmed and their families informed.Authorities have not yet said what caused the helicopter to crash. Investigators are expected to examine the aircraft and other circumstances surrounding the accident.

The deaths have left Lulu’s family, friends and followers mourning the loss of a woman who became known to many through her marriage to Chivayo and her work in the fashion and lifestyle industry.
