296 poodle-mix dogs and families gathered in Las Vegas as the event raised funds for Doodle Rescue USA

Nearly 300 dogs have set a new world record at a pool party held at a water park in Nevada, United States.

A total of 296 poodle-mix dogs and their families attended Doodle Palooza 2026 at Cowabunga Canyon Waterpark in Las Vegas last Sunday. The dogs enjoyed swimming in the park’s wave pool, splash pad and other shallow-water areas.

A Guinness World Records representative was also present and confirmed that the event set a new record for the largest attendance at a dog pool party.

The previous record was 277 dogs, set at an event held at a park in Florida in May.

The event was held during National Dog Week and also raised funds for Doodle Rescue USA.

Danielle Dunker of Doodle Rescue USA said in a statement provided to media organisations: “This record belongs to every dog and person who came here for a greater purpose.”
