According to a report published on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has claimed that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, possesses enough political influence to affect the outcome of the 2027 general election in five states.

Ayodele made the statement while discussing Wike’s political significance ahead of the presidential election. He suggested that the former Rivers State governor could play an important role in supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC), depending on how he uses his political structure and influence.

The cleric claimed that Wike could determine the outcome in five states, although he did not reveal which states he was referring to. Ayodele stressed that he was not making the statement to boast or attract attention, saying he believed the information came to him through spiritual revelation.

He stated that Wike could secure five states and that such an outcome would benefit the APC.

Wike, who previously served as Rivers State governor and remains a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has maintained a political relationship with President Bola Tinubu since the 2023 presidential election.

During the 2023 election, Wike was part of the PDP’s G5 governors who declined to support the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. The group’s decision contributed to political realignments during the election period.

Wike’s political activities have continued to attract attention as the 2027 election approaches, particularly because of his influence within the PDP and his relationship with the Tinubu administration.

There have also been reported disagreements between Wike and some APC governors over his political activities and the emerging Rainbow Coalition.
