Ross Co. Sheriff Crime Log – September 28, 2026

Notable incidents included a burglary arrest on Fifth Street in Clarksburg where the suspect was transported to the Ross County Jail, an aggravated vehicular assault investigation opened after a report at a regional medical center, and an aggravated menacing investigation near California Hollow Road.

On September 28 at approximately 3:42 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Fifth Street in Clarksburg in reference to an active burglary. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a suspect, who was arrested and transported to the Ross County Jail. The incident also involved allegations of resisting arrest and possession of drugs.

On September 28 at 7:34 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a convenience store in Londonderry on a theft complaint. A report was taken.

On September 28 at 7:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a regional medical center in reference to an assault that occurred on Massieville Road. The deputy spoke with the caller, who stated someone had purposely backed a vehicle into him a couple of nights earlier. An investigation was started and a report was written.

On September 28 at 10:13 a.m., a deputy served a civil protection order at a residence on South Douglas Avenue in Chillicothe.

On September 28 at 10:57 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to North Main Street in Frankfort on a disorderly conduct report. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with a subject who showed signs of altered mental status, and the individual was placed on an emergency mental illness hold.

On September 28 at 1:07 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Complex on Sandusky Boulevard in Chillicothe in reference to an assault involving a juvenile. An investigation was started.

On September 28 at 1:47 p.m., a deputy was made aware by phone of a breaking and entering near SR 772 in Bainbridge. The deputy spoke with the complainant, who provided information about the incident, and an investigation was started.

On September 28 at 2:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to East Main Street in Chillicothe in reference to a warrant.

On September 28 at 2:50 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Unioto High School on Pleasant Valley Road in Chillicothe on a non-criminal complaint. The deputy spoke with the caller, and an investigation was started.

On September 28 at 3:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to US 50 in Bainbridge in reference to a threats complaint near California Hollow Road. The incident remains under investigation as aggravated menacing.

On September 28, a deputy responded to an unruly child complaint in Laurelville.

On September 28 at 6:39 p.m., deputies were dispatched to High Street in Clarksburg regarding a juvenile probation violation.

On September 28 at 6:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Ragged Ridge Road in Frankfort in reference to a non-active disorderly complaint, logged as criminal trespass.

On September 28 at 7:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Fourth Street in Bainbridge for a welfare check.

On September 28 at 9:47 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to US 50 and Rapid Forge Road in Bainbridge in reference to a non-active disorderly complaint.
