Joey Barton ‘caught with smuggled phone & tobacco’ in cell as insiders fear he’s become target for ‘heavy duty’ mobsters

FORMER football star Joey Barton has been tackled by jail bosses over claims a smuggled mobile and tobacco were found in his prison cell.Barton, 44, could be stripped of his jail privileges after allegedly being caught with the contraband during a search.But the ex-Man City, Newcastle and QPR midfielder is understood to be denying the accusations.
