Under the partnership, 200 young people will receive technical training at the Toyota Kenya Academy, where they will gain practical skills aligned with the growing demand for expertise in modern automotive technologies and electric mobility.

KCB Foundation  has partnered with CFAO Mobility Kenya  to equip young Kenyans with industry-relevant automotive and electric mobility (e-mobility) skills, as part of efforts to prepare the next generation for opportunities in the country’s rapidly evolving mobility sector.

Under the partnership, 200 young people will receive technical training at the Toyota Kenya Academy, where they will gain practical skills aligned with the growing demand for expertise in modern automotive technologies and electric mobility. The initiative aims to build a skilled workforce capable of supporting Kenya’s transition towards sustainable transportation.

KCB Foundation Managing Director Mendi Njonjo said the collaboration responds to the changing nature of work by providing young people with practical, market-driven skills. She noted that the programme extends beyond technical training to include entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, access to finance, and market linkages, creating pathways for youth and women to establish sustainable businesses and secure meaningful employment within the mobility sector.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment by KCB Foundation and CFAO Mobility Kenya to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce development in Kenya’s automotive industry. By combining technical education with business support, the initiative seeks to empower participants with the skills and resources needed to thrive in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries.

The partnership agreement was signed in the presence of KCB Bank Kenya Director of Corporate Banking, Peter Ng’eno, underscoring the bank’s continued commitment to supporting youth empowerment and skills development initiatives that contribute to Kenya’s economic growth and the future of sustainable mobility.
