Kenya Airways has strengthened its standing as one of Africa’s recognised aviation brands after securing four major titles at the 2026 World Travel Awards (WTA).
The national carrier was named Africa’s Leading Airline 2026, as well as Africa’s Leading Airline, Economy Class 2026.
Its flagship Pride Lounge in Nairobi was recognised as Africa’s Leading Airline Lounge 2026, while its inflight magazine, Msafiri, won Africa’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2026.
The four awards were presented at the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony in Zanzibar.
The accolades recognise different aspects of the passenger journey, including Kenya Airways’ overall offering, economy cabin, airport experience and inflight publication.
Kenya Airways Acting Chief Executive Officer, Capt. George Kamal, said the awards reflected the commitment of the airline’s employees and the confidence of its customers and industry partners.
“These awards are an important recognition of the commitment of our people and the confidence placed in Kenya Airways by our customers and industry partners,” Kamal said.
“We are deeply grateful to the travellers and travel professionals whose confidence has made this recognition possible.”
