By Daniel Agbesi Latsu

Poase-Cement (O/R), Aug. 28, GNA – The Poase-Cement District of The Church of Pentecost has been inaugurated in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, with a call on members to intensify evangelism and contribute to the holistic transformation of lives and communities.

The newly created district was carved out of the Kadjebi District to enhance effective administration, pastoral supervision, and the spiritual development of members within the area.

The Poase-Cement District comprises the Poase-Cement, Dafor Kordzi, Dzindziso, Mempeasem, Obuase, Titiaka, Brafoaso and Kordibenum assemblies of the Church.

Inaugurating the district, Apostle Semenya Yao Dogbe, Hohoe Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, said the vast size of the Kadjebi District made the establishment of a new district necessary to bring pastoral and administrative services closer to members.

He urged congregants to embrace the responsibility that accompanied the creation of the district by intensifying soul-winning efforts, supporting the growth of the Church and spreading the Gospel.

Apostle Dogbe said healing and transformation should form an integral part of the district’s ministry, stressing that the Church had a responsibility to contribute to the total development of individuals and communities.

He said God desired the fruitfulness and progress of His people and encouraged members to remain steadfast in their faith while working diligently to improve their lives and make positive contributions to society.

Preaching a sermon on the theme: “Break Up and Advance,” Pastor Linus Yeboah, Jasikan District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost, urged members to overcome stagnation and pursue progress in their spiritual, personal and professional lives.

Drawing lessons from Deuteronomy 1:6-8 and Mark 2:11-12, he said God did not intend for His people to remain stagnant but expected them to take dominion, occupy their rightful place and experience growth.

Pastor Yeboah cautioned members against allowing negative comments and opinions of others to discourage them from pursuing their God-given aspirations.

He also advised them not to allow past failures and disappointments to define their future but rather learn from their experiences and move forward with faith and confidence.

Pastor Yeboah further encouraged members to fear God, remain obedient to His word and strive for progress in every aspect of their lives.

As part of the ceremony, Apostle Dogbe formally inaugurated the district and prayed for Pastor/Overseer Ebenezer Nyarko, who has been appointed as the first District Pastor of the Poase-Cement District.

The inauguration brought together church leaders, pastors, officers, members and residents from the various assemblies within the new district.

The establishment of the district is expected to strengthen evangelism, discipleship, pastoral care and community outreach while providing a more effective structure for the growth and development of the Church in the area.

New officers and ministries of the Church were also inaugurated during the event.

Pastor/Overseer Nyarko, a teacher by profession, is married with two children.
