Accra, July 2, GNA – Anum Community Bank PLC has officially opened its doors in Atimpoku, marking a step in its expansion to bring banking services closer to communities in the Eastern Region.
Speaking at the commissioning, Mr David Sebastian Damoah, Esq., Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, described it as “more than the opening of a building,” calling it a testament to the bank’s growth and its commitment to financial inclusion.
“This is a clear vision: to provide exceptional service, foster financial inclusion, and drive economic prosperity for individuals and local businesses alike,” he said.
A statement issued by Mr Damoah to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday empahsised Atimpoku’s strategic importance as a thriving corridor for trade and tourism, home to the Adomi Bridge and the Volta Lake.
“To meet the needs of the local economy, the branch is fully equipped with cutting-edge digital banking platforms, including GhanaPay, USSD, and TransFlow, and will be staffed by a dedicated team of professionals,” it said.
The statement expressed Mr Damoah’s gratitude to the traditional authorities for their support, stating that “Your blessing gives this branch strong roots.” It also thanked customers for their continued trust, adding that the facility was built to ensure banking was “seamless, convenient, and truly rewarding.”
Appreciation was also extended to management, contractors, and staff who worked day and night to complete the project.
The statement expressed hope that the branch will bring growth, prosperity, and success to the community for many years to come.
The commissioning of the Atimpoku branch adds to Anum Community Bank’s growing footprint in the Eastern Region as it continues to serve both rural and peri-urban customers.
