Kenya considers the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) a vital partner in addressing contemporary urban challenges, a Kenyan representative said during a ministerial roundtable held within the framework of the World Urban Forum 13 in Baku.
She emphasized that the meeting agenda is timely, as it enables participants to review progress, identify challenges, and outline further steps for implementing the New Urban Agenda, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“Kenya attaches great importance to international cooperation in promoting sustainable urban development. We also recognize the important role of United Nations Human Settlements Programme in supporting member states and local authorities in responding to evolving urban challenges,” she noted.
