Deepika Padukone debuts baby bump on 'King' sets in South Africa; Pics send fans into frenzy

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, sent fans on social media into a frenzy after new images from the sets of her upcoming film ‘King’ surfaced online. The pics in question saw the actress debuting her baby bump while filming at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

Deepika Padukone debuts baby bump

The actress, who announced last month that she is pregnant with her second child with husband, Ranveer Singh, was spotted cradling her baby bump while walking around the sets with her team. Unlike her bright-coloured costume and glamorous look during the shoot, Deepika was seen dressed down in a checked ensemble that she paired with an oversized shirt. Photos and videos from the outdoor schedule quickly went viral, with fans going gaga over the mommy-to-be.

Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard blocks shutterbugs

Also spotted on the sets was leading man Shah Rukh Khan. The star was spotted by fans walking on the sets with his team. However, on noticing fans taking pictures of him, Shah Rukh’s bodyguard was seen swinging into action and holding up an umbrella to block the photos.

Sidharth Anand asks fans to stop sharing leaked pics

The post read, “REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of KING. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation. Shah Rukh Khan in & as KING.”

Ranveer Singh accompanies Deepika Padukone for shoot

Reports indicate that the film’s team is currently filming an 18-day climax sequence in Cape Town before continuing production in Mumbai.Although not spotted in the pics, it has been reported that actor Ranveer Singh, who is riding high on the success of his films ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, is by his pregnant wife’s side. The couple was spotted jetting out of Mumbai early this week, just in time for the shoot.

King release date

‘King’, which features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, is one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2026. The film will hit the big screens on Christmas 2026.
