Paul Afoko

The office of Awentami Paul Afoko, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman Hopeful, has clarified details of his recent meeting with the party’s Council of Elders in the Ashanti Region.

According to Afoko’s Communications Bureau, the Council of Elders did not endorse him and remains neutral, not backing individual aspirants.

The National Chairman Hopeful’s office said the Council of Elders encouraged Mr. Afoko to continue his work toward unity, discipline and respect for constitutional order within the NPP, and commended his 3R agenda; Reunite, Rebuild, Recapture.

“Mr. Afoko respects the Council and remains focused on engaging delegates ahead of the National Delegates Conference. The NPP believes in fair competition; the power lies with delegates,” the office stated.
