The Executive Council of the Football Association has officially approved the calendar for the 2026/27 football season, for early release to clubs, partners and stakeholders.

The approved calendar for the 2026-27 season will commence on July 1, 2026 and conclude on June 30, 2027. This timeline aligns with the FA’s statutes and its financial accounting year.

The calendar covers all major domestic competitions, including the Premier League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, the Access Bank Division One League, as well as knockout tournaments such as the MTN FA Cup and the Women’s FA Cup.

In addition, Regional Football Association competitions will also run within the same framework, ensuring nationwide participation and talent development.

The approval and release of the calendar in March 2026 is aimed at empowering members of the Football Association to plan ahead, especially in this FIFA World Cup year.
