The leadership transition follows the exit of his predecessor and positions Ngxola to guide Ericsson through its next phase of growth, ensuring that its technological capabilities translate into meaningful value for businesses and communities across South Africa.

Ericsson  has named Siseko Ngxola as the new Head of its South African business, a move that underscores the company’s continued investment in the market and confidence in experienced local leadership.

With more than 20 years in the telecoms industry, Ngxola has built a strong track record across sales, enterprise solutions, and mobile networks. His career includes senior leadership roles and international exposure across the United Kingdom, Finland, and the Middle East, giving him a well-rounded perspective on global industry trends and best practices.

He previously served as Key Account Manager at Ericsson and became part of the South Africa leadership team in December 2024, where he played a key role in managing strategic customer relationships.

Majda Lahlou Kassi, Head of Ericsson West and Southern Africa, highlighted Ngxola’s strong leadership qualities, industry knowledge, and close engagement with customers as key strengths that make him well-suited to drive the company’s ambitions in South Africa. The appointment also reflects Ericsson’s emphasis on building and promoting local expertise within its operations.

Ngxola expressed his readiness to take on the role, pointing to the increasing importance of connectivity in driving economic growth and innovation. He noted his intention to work closely with partners and teams to accelerate digital transformation efforts, strengthen Ericsson’s footprint, and continue delivering high-impact solutions to customers.

The leadership transition follows the exit of his predecessor and positions Ngxola to guide Ericsson through its next phase of growth, ensuring that its technological capabilities translate into meaningful value for businesses and communities across South Africa.
