Charlene Ruto and Husband Isaya Yunge Steal the Show With Energetic Dance at Lavish Wedding

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, and her newlywed husband, Tanzanian businessman Isaya Yunge, have captured the attention of social media users after a video of them dancing enthusiastically at their wedding reception emerged online.

The couple exchanged marriage vows on Friday, November 6, during a lavish wedding ceremony held in Mwanza, Tanzania, bringing together family members, close friends and prominent guests from Kenya, Tanzania and other parts of East Africa.

Although the ceremony attracted considerable attention because of the high-profile personalities in attendance, a particular moment during the reception has since become a major talking point.

In a video shared on Instagram, Charlene and Isaya are seen joining traditional drummers and costumed dancers who were entertaining guests at the outdoor celebration.

Dressed in a flowing lace wedding gown and veil, Charlene appeared excited as she moved towards the performers alongside her husband. The two then joined the entertainers in an energetic dance, drawing attention from the groomsmen and other guests who watched the performance.

The newlyweds appeared relaxed and cheerful as they embraced the traditional entertainment, giving those present a glimpse of their celebrations away from the formal wedding proceedings.

The video quickly attracted attention online, with viewers particularly interested in seeing the President’s daughter enjoying herself alongside her husband during their special day.

The wedding also marked an important cross-border family connection, with Isaya being a Tanzanian businessman while Charlene is a prominent Kenyan public figure.

Beyond the dancing and celebrations, Charlene also touched guests with the personal message she shared during the white wedding.

While exchanging vows with Isaya, she revealed that she had been praying for her future husband since her Form One days in high school.

Charlene recalled writing down a detailed list of the qualities she wanted in a husband during a difficult period in her life.

However, she explained that Isaya eventually surpassed the expectations she had written down, making their union particularly meaningful to her.

Her emotional confession offered guests a glimpse into the journey that led to their marriage.

The white wedding followed an earlier traditional Koito ceremony held in Kenya, marking another important milestone in the couple’s relationship.

The Mwanza celebration has continued attracting attention, with Kenyans following different moments involving the newlyweds and the high-profile guests who travelled to Tanzania for the occasion.
