Announcing the news on Facebook on November 2, 2026, Barker-Vormawor began his post with the blunt words, “My father is dead.” He explained that after reflecting on how to deliver the tragic news, he chose simple honesty. Reflecting on their relationship, the lawyer described his father as his “number 1 fan and cheerleader,” a parent whose pride was always on full display.
