My Own Son Is Facing The Same Bullying – Ghana’s Ambassador To US Speaks Out After Javits Murder
Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, has spoken out after the painful murder of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong.
The Ambassador revealed something shocking – his own son is also facing similar bullying at school.
Speaking with pain, H.E. Victor Smith said the issue of bullying in schools in the US is real and alarming. It is not a small matter. Many Ghanaian children and other Black children are going through it every day but parents don’t even know.
He said after the tragic death of Javits Frimpong who was killed on his way to school, he could not keep quiet anymore. This is because his own son is also a victim of the same bullying.
According to him, bullying is destroying the lives and confidence of many young students. Some children are afraid to go to school, some are always crying, and some don’t want to talk again – all because they are being bullied.
He called on parents, especially Ghanaian parents in the US, to sit down with their children, talk to them, and listen to them. He said we must not think our children are just being stubborn when they don’t want to go to school. They may be facing bullying.
H.E. Smith said the death of Javits should be a wake-up call for everyone. The authorities must act now to protect children in schools before another child loses his life.
