Angela Atieh Was Operating Her Businesses Freely Until This Government Came Into Office—Kofi

According to a Post on Kofi Ofosu official facebook account on Sunday, November 1,2026,Ghanaian social commentator Kofi Ofosu has accused the government of unfairly targeting mining entrepreneur Angela Atieh, questioning the circumstances surrounding developments at her mining companies, particularly Northern Ashanti Mines Company Limited.

In a Facebook post credited to Akaneweo Kabiru Abdul, Ofosu argued that Atieh is a Ghanaian businesswoman with more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry and should not be treated as a foreign investor or an entrepreneur without legitimate interests in the country.

According to Ofosu, Atieh is the founder of NGUVU Holdings, a mining group with operations and interests across several West African countries. He listed the companies under the group as Adamus Resources Limited in Ghana, Northern Ashanti Mines Company Limited in Ghana, Segala Mining Corporation in Mali, Samira Hill SA in Niger, and Poura Resources Limited in Burkina Faso.

Ofosu also highlighted Atieh’s position in the Ghana Chamber of Mines, describing her as its First Vice-President, having previously served as Second Vice-President until June.

The commentator questioned why the businesswoman’s mining interests had allegedly come under pressure since the current administration assumed office. He argued that the government’s public emphasis on protecting Ghanaian entrepreneurs should also extend to Atieh and her business operations.

He particularly raised concerns about developments involving Adamus Resources Limited, alleging that its mining lease was revoked before public criticism prompted what he described as a subsequent response from the Presidency.

Ofosu further alleged that attention had shifted to Northern Ashanti Mines Company Limited, where he claimed security personnel, including members of the military and the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS), were deployed during an attempted takeover.
