APC Releases Fresh List Expanding Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Council

According to a report by The Punch on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday released a supplementary list expanding the leadership and membership of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the new appointments cut across directorates, sectoral groups, mobilisation structures and operational units of the Council.

The party said the expansion is aimed at improving coordination among the different arms of the PCC as preparations for the 2027 general election pick up pace.

The latest list builds on earlier versions. The initial membership was unveiled in August 2026, with President Tinubu as Chairman.

Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, were named Vice Chairmen. Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, was appointed Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, serves as Secretary.

A revised list followed in mid-October 2026, bringing in prominent figures from outside the core APC fold under a “rainbow coalition” approach.

Among them were Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, named campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT; Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, coordinator for Osun; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, coordinator for Anambra.

The Council was formally inaugurated on October 14, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Later expansions created more directorates covering election planning and monitoring, infrastructure mobilisation, health sector engagement, civil society, new media, extractive industries, entertainment, security and intelligence, artisan mobilisation, labour relations and faith-based groups, among other units.

According to the party, Wednesday’s supplementary list continues this process by adding more leaders and members to strengthen nationwide coordination and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the election.

The full details of the new appointments were published alongside the statement on the party’s official channels.
