How can Kojo Blak reportedly suggest that most Ghanaian artistes lack the capacity to work with him, yet express interest in collaborating with Omah Lay because Nigerians stream his music more than Ghanaians? What exactly is the message he is trying to send to the very industry that has helped shape his career?

There is nothing wrong with aspiring to collaborate with international stars. Every artiste dreams of reaching a global audience, and working with someone as established as Omah Lay could be a great opportunity. But ambition should never become an excuse to look down on your fellow Ghanaian musicians.

The question is simple: why not focus on building your brand, strengthening your catalogue and expanding your fan base instead of making statements that could be interpreted as disrespect towards other artistes?

Nobody is saying Kojo Blak should not dream big. In fact, every serious musician should have international ambitions. However, there is a difference between being ambitious and making it seem as though your colleagues are beneath you.
