Pauline Njoroge Blast Itumbi Over His Intelligence Information, Accuse Ruto’s Govt of Incompetence

Pauline Njoroge has renewed her criticism of President William Ruto’s administration, taking aim at Dennis Itumbi over issues surrounding intelligence information and the handling of sensitive government-related details.

The political communication strategist has continued to challenge the Kenya Kwanza administration as opposition leaders intensify their scrutiny of government decisions ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The controversy comes amid growing public debate over how certain political figures appear to obtain information about government plans before official announcements are made.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has recently attracted attention over claims that he receives information from individuals within government circles. The debate gained momentum following reports that he spoke about possible fuel price increases before the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority announced its latest review.

However, government spokesperson Gabriel Muthuma dismissed suggestions that such disclosures necessarily demonstrated access to classified government information.

Itumbi, who serves as Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy, has also previously rejected claims connecting him to allegations that Gachagua has a mole within State House.

Against this background, Njoroge’s reported criticism has added another dimension to the ongoing political exchanges between government allies and opposition figures.

Njoroge has increasingly positioned herself among the administration’s outspoken critics, raising questions about governance, accountability and the government’s approach to political competition.

Her political profile has also grown following her appointment as interim head of communication for the Linda Mwananchi Movement on October 13, 2026. The movement, associated with opposition figures including Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, has been building its public profile as political realignments gather pace.

The latest exchange comes at a time when leaders are increasingly using public statements and social media platforms to challenge their opponents and influence national conversations.

Nevertheless, claims concerning intelligence leaks and the handling of confidential information require independent verification before responsibility can be assigned to any individual.

As the 2027 election approaches, disagreements over government transparency, information management and accountability are expected to remain prominent in Kenya’s political debate.
