Davido’s Aide Offers Cash Reward for Phone Allegedly Stolen at Zlatan’s Wedding

According to PUNCH Online on Monday, October 26, 2026, Damilare Aladegbola, popularly known as Dre, an aide to Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido, has appealed to whoever allegedly stole his phone during rapper Zlatan Ibile and Davita Lamai’s traditional wedding ceremony to return it in exchange for a cash reward.

Dre made the appeal in a post on his Instagram account, pleading with the person who took the device to return it and promising to offer money in exchange.

“If na u carry my phone for Zlatan wedding, abeg return am, I go give you money please,” he wrote in Pidgin English.

The aide also expressed frustration over the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of his phone, suggesting that clearing plates at social gatherings could provide an opportunity for phones left on tables to go missing.

He warned that he would react angrily if waiters offered to clear his plate at future parties, alleging that the practice could be used as a means of taking phones from tables.

“From now on, if I go any party or dey any party and any stupid waitress tell me say are you done eating so I can pack your plate, na swear I go swear for you cause na pattern. Wey una dey use pack phone for table be that now,” he added.

However, Dre did not identify anyone suspected of taking his phone or provide further details about how the device went missing.

The incident followed the traditional wedding of Zlatan Ibile, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, held in Lagos on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The ceremony attracted several celebrities, entertainers, friends and well-wishers, with Davido among the prominent personalities in attendance. The singer also led the groomsmen at the event.

Ahead of the celebration, Zlatan shared photographs of himself and his partner on his official Instagram page, accompanied by the caption, “IT’S TIME TO MARRY.”

The couple showcased traditional outfits reflecting Edo and Yoruba cultural influences during the ceremony, which attracted considerable attention on social media.

As of Monday, October 26, reports on the incident had not identified the person responsible for the alleged theft or confirmed whether the phone had been recovered.

Dre’s appeal and offer of a cash reward have drawn attention to the incident, which occurred during the high-profile wedding celebration.
