3-Year-Old Soccer Prodigy Removed From Youth League After Parents Complain He Is ‘Too Good’

According to a report by The Nation Nigeria on Monday October 26, 2026, a three-year-old soccer player has become an internet sensation after his family alleged that he was removed from a youth football league in Florida following complaints from opposing parents about his exceptional performance.

The child, identified as Nevada, was participating in an i9 Sports youth soccer programme in Winter Park, where he was reportedly playing against children around five years old when the controversy erupted.

Videos shared by his family on social media showed the toddler dribbling past opponents, maintaining possession and scoring goals during the match. His parents claimed that other families had repeatedly complained because their children struggled to dispossess him.

In a video posted on October 23, Nevada’s father expressed disbelief over the police involvement, saying officers had been called because his son held the ball for too long and other players could not get possession.

His mother also questioned the situation, saying adults had gathered to discuss her son even though he was simply participating in the game.

According to the family, the league subsequently removed Nevada from its programme and refunded their registration fees. They also alleged that police escorted them from the field following the dispute.

However, the Winter Park Police Department offered a different account of why officers attended the venue. In a statement published by News 6 on October 26, police said a league official requested assistance over a disturbance involving league officials and the player’s parents.

The department said the league had asked the family to leave and offered a refund. Officers added that the family cooperated and indicated they were leaving after the game had ended.

Police classified the incident as a civil dispute, confirming that nobody was arrested, issued a trespass notice or forced to leave the park.
