Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, has officially begun his diplomatic assignment after presenting a copy of his Letter of Credence to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Chief of Protocol.

The presentation, a key diplomatic step ahead of a formal accreditation ceremony, marks the commencement of his tenure as Ghana’s representative to the Gulf state.

In a statement following the engagement, Ambassador Sinare described the meeting as cordial and productive, noting that discussions centred on the strong and longstanding ties between Ghana and Saudi Arabia.

According to him, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of their respective peoples.

“I am confident that the future of Ghana–Saudi Arabia relations remains bright, and I remain committed to working diligently to strengthen the bonds of friendship, partnership, and shared progress between our two nations,” he stated.

Ghana and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed decades of diplomatic relations, with cooperation spanning trade, investment, energy, Islamic affairs, and development support.

Meanwhile, in an earlier Facebook post, Alhaji Said Sinare announced that he had arrived in Saudi Arabia to formally resume his official duties.

He expressed gratitude for what he described as a warm and gracious reception from embassy staff upon his arrival, commending their professionalism and hospitality.

The ambassador also acknowledged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Saudi Arabia who turned out in large numbers to welcome him.

He said he was touched by their show of solidarity and praised their continued commitment to the party’s ideals, even while living in the diaspora.

Ambassador Sinare indicated his readiness to work closely with both embassy staff and members of the Ghanaian community in Saudi Arabia to strengthen unity, enhance collaboration, and promote shared national and party objectives.

He ended his message with a reaffirmation of his dedication to duty, declaring his commitment “For God and Country.”
