Pirates’ Mofokeng Makes BIG Revelation About Kaizer Chiefs Star Mfundo Vilakazi

Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng has reportedly made a bold statement about Kaizer Chiefs youngster Mfundo Vilakazi, popularly known as Obrigado, sparking renewed discussion about the rising talent of South African footballers and their potential to play in Europe.

The story, published by Sports with Daily News on Sunday, 25 October 2026, has drawn attention to the two young footballers, who have become prominent names among supporters of South African football.

Vilakazi is regarded as one of Kaizer Chiefs’ promising young attacking midfielders, with supporters hoping he can develop into an influential player for the Soweto giants. Known for his creativity and technical ability, the youngster has attracted interest from fans who believe he has the potential to make a significant contribution to the club in the coming years.

His development has also placed him among the young players whose progress will be closely monitored as Kaizer Chiefs continue working to build a competitive squad.

According to the report, Mofokeng made a strong claim regarding Vilakazi’s abilities, with the headline suggesting that the Orlando Pirates star had raised the possibility of the Chiefs youngster eventually playing in Europe.

However, the precise details of Mofokeng’s alleged comments have not been independently confirmed. There is also no verified information indicating that a European club has made an offer for Vilakazi or that a transfer is imminent.

Mofokeng himself has attracted considerable attention for his performances for Orlando Pirates and is frequently mentioned in discussions about South African players who could pursue opportunities abroad. His growing reputation has made him a reference point in conversations about the next generation of local football talent.

For Vilakazi, the prospect of playing in Europe would depend on several factors, including his performances, consistency, tactical development and ability to establish himself at the highest level.

Although recognition from fellow professionals can encourage young players, turning potential into success requires discipline, patience and regular competitive football.

For now, Vilakazi remains a Kaizer Chiefs player, and his immediate priority will be to continue developing and making the most of his opportunities.

While speculation about his future may continue, any claims regarding a European transfer should be treated cautiously until confirmed by the player, his representatives or the clubs involved.
