Pics of Rongai Mother in tears, she Delivers Water Using Donkey Receives 50k Gift From Stranger

A 24-year-old mother from Ongata Rongai has touched the hearts of Kenyans after journalist Shiksha Arora surprised her with KSh 50,000 in appreciation of her determination to provide for her family.

Maggie, who earns a living delivering water using a donkey cart, has been working hard to support her household while also helping her mother financially.

Her story came to light after Arora documented her daily activities, revealing the challenges she faces while transporting water across dusty roads in Ongata Rongai.

According to Maggie, she operates a hired donkey cart that costs her KSh 250 daily. On a good day, she can make approximately KSh 1,000, although her earnings are not always guaranteed.

She explained that her journey into the business began after the person who had previously operated the cart under her care moved on. Maggie then decided to take over the responsibility by hiring the donkey and cart herself.

Despite the challenges, she has continued delivering water to customers, relying on the small business to meet her family’s needs.

Maggie is also a wife and mother. During the conversation, she described her husband as a friend who supports her as she balances the demands of work and family responsibilities.

When Arora asked what she would do if she received a significant amount of money, Maggie said her first priority would be to buy land for her mother and build her a house.

She also revealed her ambition to expand the water delivery business by saving enough money to purchase a pickup truck.

The KSh 50,000 gift from Arora comes as a boost to Maggie, whose determination to provide for her family has inspired people who have followed her story.

Her experience highlights the efforts of many Kenyan women who rely on small businesses to support their families while working towards better opportunities.

For Maggie, the dream remains simple: improve her business, secure a better future for her family and give her mother a home of her own.
