The Consulate-General of Ghana in Dubai has issued a security advisory urging Ghanaian nationals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to exercise heightened caution amid escalating regional tensions.

The advisory, released on Saturday, February 28, comes in the wake of heightened hostilities between the United States and Iran, which have raised concerns about possible spillover effects across the Gulf region.

Ghanaian nationals have been advised to remain at home and avoid all non-essential travel.

The statement also cautioned against visiting government buildings, military sites, and other critical infrastructure, while emphasizing the importance of monitoring official UAE updates.

“Remain at home and limit all non-essential movement; do not travel. Commercial flights are currently cancelled,” the advisory stated.

“Avoid government buildings, military sites, and critical infrastructure; monitor official UAE authority announcements for verified updates,” it added.

The Consulate assured citizens that it remains operational and will provide updates as the situation evolves.

It also urged Ghanaians to follow guidance from local authorities and stay alert to official mobile alerts.

The Consulate-General further encouraged nationals to remain calm while taking all necessary precautions and to use official emergency contact channels for urgent assistance.
