The comedian and skit maker, Adebowale Akinshola Saheed, popularly known as MC Always, has revealed he spent ten years in banking before comedy, quitting because his take-home pay could not get home.

He said his student union background of leading struggles showed him he could talk for a living.

In MC Always’s words: “I worked in the corporate environment, a bank for that matter, for good 10 years. I was a corporate person. Having worked in a commercial bank for about two years, then after service, I moved into mortgage banking. It was during my years of banking, I felt like, okay, what was the next thing? This take home is not getting home. How am I going to do this? I need to double my hustle. In thinking about doubling my hustle, I felt like, what do you know how to do? During school, we held seminars, we led struggles, agitating for students.”
