There Are A Lot Of Nigerians Who Are Angry With Tinubu Because He’s Not Listening To Anybody- Ahmed
According to a report by Daily Post on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said that many Nigerians, including those in the northern region, are dissatisfied with President Bola Tinubu’s administration over what they consider his failure to fulfil campaign promises.
Baba-Ahmed stated that the growing discontent with the President was not limited to the North, noting that citizens across different parts of the country were also unhappy with the government’s performance.
He made the remarks while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday, where he discussed public dissatisfaction with the current administration.
According to the PRP chairman, the anger directed at Tinubu is largely connected to the belief that the President has failed to address the challenges he promised to tackle before assuming office.
He explained that many Nigerians expected the administration to introduce measures that would improve their living conditions and resolve some of the country’s pressing problems.
However, Baba-Ahmed argued that the continued dissatisfaction among citizens reflected the perception that the President was not paying sufficient attention to their concerns.
He maintained that the situation should not be interpreted as a problem peculiar to northern Nigeria, insisting that people from other regions were equally concerned about the direction of the country under Tinubu’s leadership.
“It’s nothing to do with being northern at all. There are a lot of elite, there are a lot of Nigerians who are angry with Tinubu because he’s not listening to anybody,” he said.
Baba-Ahmed’s comments come amid ongoing debates about the Federal Government’s policies and their effects on Nigerians, particularly concerning economic difficulties and the expectations surrounding the administration’s campaign commitments.
His remarks also highlighted the importance of public engagement and accountability in governance, as citizens continue to assess the government’s actions against the promises made during the election campaign.
The PRP chairman’s position suggests that dissatisfaction with Tinubu cuts across regional boundaries, with the concerns he identified centred on leadership, responsiveness and the delivery of promised improvements rather than northern identity alone.
