RJ Mitte was honored by fans and his former Breaking Bad co-stars at NTX Universe 2026 over the weekend.

The late actor, who died by suicide on October 12 at age 34, had been scheduled to make an appearance at the Dallas,Texas convention prior to his shock death.

Instead, attendees were invited to write notes for Mitte and his loved ones inside of notebooks presented by event organizers.

‘Fans are welcome to stop by and leave a note for RJ and his family in the condolence books there,’ the NTX Universe website stated. ‘We will make sure they reach his family after the show.’

In the wake of Mitte’s absence, his manager Ben Brucato took to Instagram to share a poignant message and photo from the convention.

‘This weekend in Dallas was bittersweet. RJ was supposed to be there with us, and it was hard knowing he wasn’t. His absence was felt throughout the weekend, and things just weren’t the same without him,’ he wrote.

Brucato was joined by Giancarlo Esposito, Raymond Cruz, and Daniel Moncada in a snapshot featuring an image of Mitte behind them.

His caption continued, ‘A special thank you to Dan and everyone at @txcardshows for their kindness and understanding, and for setting up a table where attendees could leave messages for RJ’s family.

‘It was a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot, and I’m grateful for all the love and support shown to RJ and his family this weekend.’

He added, ‘I also want to take a moment to remind everyone that mental health matters. You never really know what someone is going through behind closed doors, so please check on your people, even the ones who seem like they’re doing okay.’

Finally, he wrote, ‘If you’re struggling, please know you don’t have to face it alone. Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. There is help, there is hope, and your life matters.’

Mitte rose to fame playing Walter ‘Flynn’ White Jr. on the Bryan Cranston-led drama Breaking Bad.

Following his shock death, he was remembered by Cranston, who declared he was ‘ in deep despair’ amid the tragedy.

Another co-star, Aaron Paul, said in a statement: ‘I am at a loss. I am heartbroken over this news. RJ, I love you my friend. You will be missed.’

RJ was remembered at a Celebration of Life ceremony at the Mitte Center in Brownsville, Texas, on October 16.

His death came one year after the late performer announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Kennedy Suarez.

‘I’m thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we’re doing,’ Mitte told People in October 2025.

He gushed, ‘Kennedy is my everything and I can’t wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us on next.’

Mitte, who had cerebral palsy, proposed at the 56th annual Dia del Sol 2025 benefit in Carlsbad, California.

The fundraising event benefitted United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of San Diego, for which he was an ambassador.

Following the engagement, Suarez took to Instagram to write, ‘My 30th [birthday] felt like a fairytale…. I have the man of my dreams by my side & we are doing what we love most — helping others.’

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mitte’s mother Dyna Mitte addressed speculation he had a feud with his fiancee before his death.

She revealed that her son had only seen Suarez three or four times since she moved in December and said that while there were struggles, she didn’t want to delve into his personal life.
