“Wakili Bila Akili,” How Senator Cheruiyot Says Ruto Will Defeat Sifuna And Opposition
Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has criticised opposition leaders planning to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election, predicting they will lose regardless of whether they unite or run separately.
Speaking during a public gathering in Kapiego, Cheruiyot praised Ruto for development projects in areas he described as historically neglected, including Lungalunga and parts of Nyanza.
He argued that the government’s development record would shape the political contest, dismissing opposition criticism of the president.
Cheruiyot also took aim at opposition leaders discussing plans to field a joint presidential candidate against Ruto.
He predicted that the opposition would know the outcome early on election day, claiming that those running separately would be defeated by 6:19 am, while a united opposition would lose by 7:30 am.
The senator also mocked Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, joking that the election would be decided before he finished combing his hair.
