Ndegwa Njiru Walks Out of Cajamuka Show After Finding Njeri Maina on Panel
Renowned lawyer and Kirinyaga senatorial aspirant Ndegwa Njiru has raised questions after walking out of the Cajamuka Show during a lawyers’ panel discussion.
Njiru, who is seeking the Kirinyaga Senate seat under the Wiper Party, reportedly requested to leave the studio after discovering that Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina was among the panelists he was expected to engage with. He described the environment as unfriendly and asked to leave the studio.
The incident comes about two weeks after Njiru criticised Maina, Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango and David Muthenge during a lawyers’ panel discussion on Kameme FM. He referred to the three leaders as “the trios” and accused them of gatekeeping Kirinyaga politics.
Njiru claimed that he had attended an event where the three leaders were also present but was denied an opportunity to speak. His remarks highlighted tensions surrounding political participation and leadership in Kirinyaga County.
The reported walkout adds another development to the exchanges involving Njiru and the leaders he has criticised. However, further details about the circumstances surrounding his departure from the Cajamuka Show would be necessary to establish the full context of the incident.
