Latest Premier League Table as Man City Beat 10-Man Liverpool
According to a report by BBC Sport on October 11, 2026, Manchester City strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League table after defeating 10-man Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield to maintain their perfect start to the season.
City now have 18 points from six matches, opening up a three-point lead over Arsenal, who sit second with 15 points. Brighton remain third with 13 points, while Brentford occupy fourth place with 10 points. Everton and Chelsea complete the top six, also with 10 points, following another eventful round of fixtures.
Liverpool’s defeat leaves them ninth with nine points from six matches, behind Leeds United and Hull City, who have the same points total but better goal differences. Their afternoon at Anfield unravelled after Ryan Gravenberch was sent off for a second yellow card in the 62nd minute.
Erling Haaland broke the deadlock three minutes later before Jeremy Doku doubled City’s advantage in the 68th minute. Rayan Cherki then scored in the 78th minute to complete a convincing victory.
Elsewhere, Chelsea climbed to sixth after thrashing Bournemouth 5-1, while Brighton moved into third with a 2-0 win over Sunderland. Crystal Palace beat Nottingham Forest 3-1, and Hull City drew 2-2 with Everton.
At the other end of the table, Manchester United sit 13th with six points, while Tottenham are 18th with three points. Coventry City occupy 19th place, and Fulham remain bottom with two points.
With most teams having played six matches, City’s perfect record gives them an early advantage. However, Arsenal and Brighton remain within reach as the Premier League season continues.
