Arsenal Starting XI Confirmed Against Leeds United, Rice And Havertz Included

According to a report by Metro on Saturday, October 10, 2026, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named his starting lineup for the Premier League clash against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will be aiming to return to winning ways after suffering a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brighton before the international break. Arsenal had won their opening four matches of the season before that setback interrupted their impressive start to the campaign.

David Raya starts in goal for the North London side, while Ben White, Gabriel, Ezri Konsa and Riccardo Calafiori have been selected in defence. Myles Lewis-Skelly also features in the starting lineup, with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard included in midfield.

Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz complete Arsenal’s starting eleven as Arteta prepares his team for a difficult encounter against an unbeaten Leeds United side.

Rice’s inclusion is particularly notable after he missed England duty during the international break. Arteta had expected the midfielder to be available for the match, and his selection provides Arsenal with another option in the middle of the pitch.

Arsenal will also have several attacking and midfield alternatives available on the bench. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Jurrien Timber, Piero Hincapie, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, Bruno Guimaraes, Eberechi Eze, Max Dowman and Viktor Gyokeres have all been named among the substitutes.

The confirmed lineup comes after Arteta disclosed that summer signing Christos Tzolis would be unavailable for several weeks following an injury sustained while representing Greece during the international break.

Havertz and Konsa had also been injury concerns before the match, although both players have been included in the starting eleven.

Meanwhile, Leeds United will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season. Daniel Farke’s side have collected two victories and three draws from their opening five matches, giving them confidence ahead of their trip to London.

However, Leeds will be without Joe Rodon and Dan James for the encounter. Farke had expressed optimism about the possible return of Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Harry Wilson to the matchday squad.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. UK time at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal hoping to capitalise on home advantage and get their campaign back on track.

Arsenal starting XI: Raya, White, Gabriel, Konsa, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Madueke, Havertz.

Substitutes: Arrizabalaga, Timber, Hincapie, Zubimendi, Merino, Guimaraes, Eze, Dowman, Gyokeres.
