EPL Table After Chelsea Won 5-1

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Saturday October 10, 2026, Chelsea produced an impressive attacking display to defeat Bournemouth 5-1 in their Premier League encounter on October 10, 2026.

Jordan Henderson scored twice, while Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro also found the net as the Blues dominated proceedings at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea made a perfect start when Henderson opened the scoring in the second minute. The midfielder received a clever pass from Cole Palmer before firing from the edge of the penalty area and finding the net via the inside of the left post.

The hosts doubled their advantage moments later through Rogers. Henderson supplied the assist, allowing the Chelsea attacker to unleash a shot from outside the box that took a deflection before beating Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Bournemouth attempted to respond but struggled to convert their opportunities. Emiliano Martinez produced important saves to deny Rayan and Ryan Christie, keeping Chelsea comfortably ahead before the interval.

Moises Caicedo also came close to adding another goal for the Blues in the first half. His header from a free-kick delivery beat Petrovic but was cleared off the goal line by a Bournemouth defender.

Chelsea extended their lead immediately after the restart. Pedro Neto delivered an excellent pass to Joao Pedro, who showed determination inside the penalty area before finishing powerfully into the roof of the net in the 46th minute.

Bournemouth eventually pulled one goal back in the 51st minute. Evanilson capitalised on a chaotic situation inside Chelsea’s goalmouth to score and reduce the deficit to 3-1.

However, Chelsea quickly restored their control. Joao Pedro completed his brace in the 67th minute after receiving a precise pass from Pep Chavarria and calmly finishing from close range.

Henderson then delivered the highlight of the evening in the 70th minute. The midfielder curled a superb free-kick from the edge of the penalty area into the right side of the net to make it 5-1.

Chelsea introduced fresh players during the closing stages, with Estêvão, Romeo Lavia and Malo Gusto among those entering the pitch. Bournemouth continued searching for another goal, but Chelsea maintained their advantage until the final whistle.
