MP Babu Owino Shares Rare Photos With His Mother As He Clocks A Year Older

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has shared rare photos with his mother as he marked his birthday on Saturday, October 10, paying tribute to the woman he credits for shaping his life and supporting his journey to success.

In an emotional message posted on social media, the legislator reflected on his mother’s sacrifices, describing her as a central figure in his life whose determination helped him pursue a better future.

Babu said his birthday was not only an opportunity to celebrate another year of life but also a moment to recognise the struggles his mother endured while raising him.

He revealed that she sold chang’aa in the slums and made difficult sacrifices to provide him with opportunities he might otherwise not have had.

According to the MP, his achievements are closely tied to his mother’s resilience and refusal to give up despite the challenges she faced.

“My journey is a testament to a mother’s sacrifice, a mother’s faith, and God’s grace,” Babu wrote, explaining why he chose to honour her before celebrating himself.

The politician also credited his mother with introducing him to God, saying his faith had helped him navigate difficult moments and celebrate victories throughout his life.

He described her as the person who taught him where to find strength during challenging times, adding that her influence went beyond providing for his material needs.

The birthday message offered followers a glimpse into the personal experiences behind the politician’s public life, highlighting the family support and sacrifices he says contributed to his journey.

The photos accompanying his message drew attention to the special bond between the legislator and his mother as he marked another year.
