A 32-year-old man was shot once while sitting in his Hyundai H100 outside his home in Welbedacht, Chatsworth.
His wallet and cellphone were allegedly stolen.
Claude Subramodey, spokesperson for Amawele Emergency Services, said the man sustained a single gunshot wound to his eye.
“The man’s employee was standing metres away from him, while he was seated in his vehicle.
“A man approached the employee and asked him where his boss was.
“The employee did not think much of it and directed the man to his boss.
“According to the employee, the man had then walked up to the vehicle and shot his boss once.
“The businessman was then allegedly pulled out of the vehicle and thrown onto the roadside.”
Subramodey said when paramedics got to the scene, the man was deceased.
He said the man’s wallet and cellphone was stolen.
