Sammy Gyamfi Gifts Toyota Camry to Oheneba Boamah Bennie After On-Air Complaints

NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi has sparked public discussion after presenting Power FM broadcaster Oheneba Boamah Bennie with a Toyota Camry.

The gift came after Bennie publicly complained that his efforts and loyalty to the NDC had not been adequately recognised.

During a live broadcast, Bennie, who is known for his strong support of the NDC and criticism of the government, expressed disappointment over what he considered a lack of appreciation. His comments attracted significant attention.

Bennie was later seen in videos receiving the Toyota Camry and expressing gratitude to Gyamfi. He praised the NDC communications officer for recognising his commitment and loyalty.

The gesture has divided opinion. While some NDC supporters welcomed Gyamfi’s decision, others questioned the timing and raised concerns about the perception of political patronage.

According to sources at Loud Silence Media, the vehicle was reportedly bought by Gyamfi as a personal gift and was not funded by the NDC.

The development has also renewed discussions about the close relationship between political actors and media personalities, particularly over the recognition of loyalty and the influence of political affiliations on public commentary.
