Mixed Reactions After Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka and Matiangi Are Spotted Together
Popular radio presenter Jeff Kuria has sparked mixed reactions with a post he shared on his official Facebook page. In the post, Jeff shared photos of three gentlemen who appeared to have had a serious conversation. The photos showed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi together in what looked like a meeting in an outdoor compound.
In the different photos, the three men were seen walking together, shaking hands and engaging in deep discussion. Jeff accompanied the photos with a caption suggesting that the three were in a meeting and asking what they could be discussing.
The post quickly attracted attention from Kenyans, with many taking to the comments section to predict what the meet-up was for. Some of the reactions were supportive, while others were critical of the leaders and their meeting.
Some commenters expressed hope and said they were expecting good news from the three men. Others said they liked the meeting and felt that things were coming together well. One commenter suggested that another leader, the son of Kiharu, should also be brought into the group.
Other Kenyans used the comments section to share their opinions on opposition politics. One commenter said the opposition needs to agree on one presidential candidate, and that while every party can campaign for other seats, they should produce only one presidential candidate and a running mate. Another commenter said the leaders had gone back to the drawing board to plan.
Some commenters also speculated about the purpose of the meeting. One suggested that the leaders were looking for a deputy president because they already had a presidential candidate in mind. Another claimed that Gachagua was advising Matiangi to abandon some of his allies after claims about votes.
There were also commenters who questioned some of the names being mentioned for leadership, saying they did not know what one of the leaders had done, and instead naming Matiangi and other leaders as the best combination for the country.
Other reactions were more political, with some commenters saying it was one term for the current leadership, while others said they were tired of the same politics and would not support a return of the current president.
