Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has shared details of her early business success, revealing that she made her first million at the age of 24 through sales and production.

Speaking during an interview with content creator Elijah of Young Millionaire Talks, the 62-year-old politician reflected on her journey before joining public service. She explained that her desire to travel motivated her to pursue opportunities in sales, where she developed strong pitching skills.

Passaris described herself as a confident salesperson, saying she could sell almost anything. However, she emphasised that successful selling should be built on honesty and a genuine belief in the product being offered.

“If you don’t believe in a product, you can’t sell it,” she advised young Kenyans seeking to build businesses. She also urged sellers to ensure customers receive value for their money rather than relying on misleading promises.

The Nairobi representative also addressed questions about maintaining her youthful appearance at 62. Rather than crediting expensive beauty products or skincare routines, she attributed her appearance to her Christian faith and relationship with God.

“Loving God and understanding that there’s a superior being that created us and is worthy of respect,” Passaris said when explaining what she considers the secret behind her youthful looks.

She added that she sees her achievements and daily experiences as blessings, describing her life as guided by faith. Her comments reflected the importance she places on spirituality alongside personal and professional success.

Passaris also offered advice to young Kenyans interested in entering politics, warning them against treating public office as a route to personal wealth. She said aspiring leaders should focus on serving citizens rather than making money.

“Don’t go into politics because you want to make money. Go into politics because you want to serve,” she stated.

The politician further revealed that she still drives the same car she purchased in 2017, despite her years in public life.
