Primate Ayodele Predicts APC May Lose Presidential Election In Several Northern States

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) could face significant challenges in the Northern region during the 2027 general elections, warning that the ruling party may lose control of several states.

The cleric made the prediction during a recent sermon shared on his official Facebook page, where he discussed the political situation and electoral prospects of the APC in different Northern states.

Ayodele identified Kano State as one of the biggest concerns for the ruling party, suggesting that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could emerge as strong competitors. He expressed uncertainty about how the APC would overcome the growing political challenge in the state.

Speaking about the situation, he said: “One thing that shocks me, which I don’t know yet and is giving me a headache now, is Kano. I’m seeing that it’s ADC and NDC that are levelling in Kano. How do you want to handle Kano? That state is serious. It’s not 100 per cent for APC.”

He also warned that the APC should not assume it would easily retain Sokoto and Zamfara States, insisting that the party’s position in both locations was not guaranteed ahead of the elections.

However, the prophet expressed optimism about the ruling party’s chances in Taraba State, predicting that the APC could secure victory in both the presidential and governorship elections.

Turning his attention to Nasarawa State, Ayodele cautioned the APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, against making political statements or taking decisions that could negatively affect his chances at the polls.

He warned that Wadada could jeopardise his electoral ambitions if he failed to address issues within his political camp. The cleric also suggested that the APC might win the governorship election in the state but lose the presidential contest.

Katsina State was another area of concern for Ayodele, who predicted that the APC could suffer defeat if it failed to strengthen its political activities and improve its chances, particularly in the presidential election.

Regarding Adamawa State, the cleric was more decisive, predicting that the ruling party would not emerge victorious there. He also advised the ADC governorship candidate to strengthen the party’s political structure, organise its members and secure wider support from voters to improve his chances of winning.

Ayodele maintained that his political predictions were based on divine guidance, urging Nigerians who questioned his pronouncements to seek clarification instead of rushing to criticise them.
