We Will Fix Our House, Win Back Ghanaians, And Bring Bawumia Back To Power In 2028—Simon Osei-Mensah
Former Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah, says the NPP is not dead.
Speaking on Kessben FM, the former minister said the party has learned its lessons from the painful defeat in the 2024 elections and is ready to rise again.
“We will reorganise internally, regain public trust, and win the 2028 elections with Bawumia.”
Simon Osei-Mensah, who served as Ashanti Regional Minister under President Akufo-Addo, said the NPP lost in 2024 because the party lost touch with its base and Ghanaians lost trust. Now, the only way back is to fix the party from inside.
“We lost because we had internal problems. We were not united. Now we must put our house in order,” he said.
He praised the party’s recent reorganisation, including the election of new national executives at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on October 3, and the appointment of experienced hands like Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu as Chief of Staff in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia office.
According to him, Bawumia remains the best hope for the NPP. He said Bawumia is calm, intelligent, and has ideas that can save Ghana’s economy.
“Dr. Bawumia is our leader. He is the one who can lead us to win public trust again. Ghanaians are already seeing the difference between NPP and NDC. The hardship is back, and people are remembering Bawumia’s competence,” he added.
He also warned NPP supporters to stop fighting over running mate positions and focus on unity. He said for NPP to win in 2028, all supporters of the five aspirants who contested the flagbearer race must come together as one team.
“Let’s focus on unity, not running mate talk. If we are united, we will win,” he stressed.
The message from Simon Osei-Mensah is one of hope: Reorganise, rebuild trust, and bring Bawumia to Jubilee House in 2028.
