According to entertainment reports, an Iku Aka (traditional introduction) ceremony was reportedly held on October 11, 2026, at the actress’s family home in Nsukka, Enugu State.

The ceremony was said to have been attended by members of both families, although the actress had not publicly confirmed the reports at the time.

The latest engagement video has further heightened speculation about the couple’s plans to formalise their relationship, with fans eagerly anticipating details of their forthcoming wedding.

Okonkwo’s engagement also comes shortly after her appointment by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah as Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development.

In her new role, the actress is expected to contribute to initiatives aimed at promoting the state’s film and creative industry, supporting talent development and strengthening the entertainment sector.

Her appointment has been widely viewed as recognition of her contributions to Nollywood and the creative arts.

Okonkwo gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of the lead character in the popular Nkoli Nwa Nsukka movie series, which established her as one of the prominent faces in indigenous Nollywood productions.
