Government to direct 20% of printing work to Ghana Publishing Company – Nana Akwasi Boaitey
The Managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Nana Kwesi Boaitey, says a Cabinet decision requires that 20 per cent of government printing work be allocated to the state-owned company.
He said the decision was expected to provide the company with additional business opportunities and support its financial sustainability.
Speaking at the Government Accountability Series at the Presidency in Accra, Mr Boaitey said the company was also expecting to benefit from the government’s free textbook printing programme.
He explained that although the Finance Minister had announced in the 2026 Budget Statement that the company would print the textbooks, management was still awaiting the contract at the time of his presentation.
Mr Boaitey said increased government printing assignments, together with the company’s ongoing reforms and investments, would help strengthen its operations.
He reaffirmed management’s commitment to improving efficiency and positioning the company to deliver on its mandate.
