DMly launches to help Nigerian businesses turn WhatsApp and Instagram conversations into revenue
The platform helps businesses respond to enquiries, manage bookings and collect payments from the conversations where customers already reach them.
DMly has launched in Nigeria to help businesses turn customer conversations on WhatsApp and Instagram into bookings, payments and repeat sales.
For a salon, a potential booking might begin with someone asking “how much?” under an Instagram post. A WhatsApp retailer seller might receive a WhatsApp message asking whether an item is in stock. The business still needs to reply, answer other questions, confirm the order or appointment and collect payment. When those steps are handled across separate apps or by different members of staff, it can be difficult to keep track of which enquiries lead to sales.
DMly brings customer messages into a shared inbox where teams can respond with the conversation history in view. Businesses can set up an AI assistant using their own prices, services, opening hours and availability to answer routine questions. Staff can step in when a customer needs a personal response.
The platform also supports appointments, reminders and deposits, along with invoices and payment links. Customers can pay in naira by card or bank transfer through Paystack or Flutterwave. After a sale, businesses can request reviews and follow up with customers who have agreed to receive messages.
Yusuf Taiwo, founder of DMly said, “Businesses put real time and money into getting customers to notice them. When someone sends a message, the opportunity is already there. But owners are often serving customers while enquiries come in across different channels. We built DMly to help them respond, keep track of each conversation and make it easier for a customer to book or pay.”
DMly is aimed at businesses that rely on messaging to sell, including salons, restaurants, fitness studios, clinics and retailers. A salon could use it to answer questions about services, offer an available slot and request a deposit. A shop could respond to a stock enquiry and send a payment link. In both cases, the owner and staff can see what has happened with the customer without passing around one business phone.
Businesses can connect their existing WhatsApp number and continue using the WhatsApp uBusiness app alongside DMly. The company also helps customers set up the platform and complete Meta verification.
To support the launch, DMly will meet Nigerian business owners through an in-person campaign, with live demonstrations showing how an inquiry can move from an Instagram comment or WhatsApp message to a confirmed booking or payment. Merchants will be able to ask about connecting their existing number, setting up replies and managing conversations as a team.
Businesses can start a seven-day trial or book a demonstration at dmly.io/ng.
