“Tell Me Why House Rent Won’t Increase”- Mc Oz Blasts Tinubu’s Government Over Rising Cement Prices
Nigerian comedian and social commentator MC Oz has criticised the rising cost of building materials and house rent in the country, blaming the situation on the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The comedian expressed his frustration over the continuous increase in cement prices, questioning how a bag of cement that reportedly sold for ₦4,500 before Tinubu assumed office could now cost as much as ₦14,000.
According to MC Oz, the sharp increase in the price of cement has made building houses increasingly difficult for ordinary Nigerians.
He also wondered why landlords should not increase house rent when the cost of building and maintaining properties has continued to rise.
“This APC Government Does Not Want People to Build Houses Again. How Can a Bag of Cement Rise from ₦4,500 to ₦14,000 Since Tinubu Assumed Office? Tell Me Why House Rent Won’t Increase.”
His remarks have drawn attention to the growing concerns surrounding the cost of housing in Nigeria, as many citizens continue to struggle with rising rents and the increasing financial burden of securing decent accommodation.
@DanielG:”When I said Dangote is evil man people will attack me because he’s money. Every materials used to produce cement was all gotten in Nigeria, but more expensive than other African countries.Tinubu government has no direction and no sympathy for ordinary Nigerians 💔”
@Sabi:”Most of the old houses were built when cement prices were low so while yes prices of new houses can be justified why are landlords of old buildings increasing their prices too ?”
@My Sheo ✨ my face show:”One of the reason why, I’m so piss off with Tinubu APC govt. just let people to abandon their project because of high price of goods. Nigerias just need to do the needful coming election and make sure Tinubu does not get thy chance to rig himself again”
