Africa must build its own digital future, not import ready-made systems – Sam George

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations Sam George has called on African countries to take control of their digital future, warning that the continent risks being marginalised as powerful global interests shape the rules, standards and technologies governing the digital world.He said Africa must move beyond depending on externally developed digital systems and instead build the capacity to design, develop and regulate technologies that reflect its own needs and realities.
