Today’s Headlines: I Have More Secrets About Obi — Datti; Adeboye Denies Jonathan Protest
Former Labour Party Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has fired back at supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, over attacks on him.
Speaking in an interview with Symfoni TV, Datti said Obidients are always eager to attack him whenever he says the truth about their principal, Peter Obi.
According to him, he has more damaging things to reveal about Peter Obi and the 2023 election if Obidients continue to attack him.
“Obidients are always eager to attack me. I have more damaging things to reveal. You attack me because I told you the truth about Peter Obi,” Datti said.
THE General Overseer (GO) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has denied ever leading a protest against former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said the reports that he carried a placard against the former leader were deliberately twisted.
Adeboye, who spoke yesterday during the November thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters, Ebute Meta, Lagos, said that because the story was twisted in the media, he was branded “A very wicked man” for allegedly carrying a placard against Jonathan.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has defended President Bola Tinubu’s prayer trip to Saudi Arabia, attacking former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his criticism of the visit and accusing him of returning to Nigeria from Dubai only when elections approach.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally in Calabar, Cross River State, on Monday, Oshiomhole dismissed Atiku’s objection to the trip and predicted that he would return to Dubai after another electoral defeat.
“Atiku said we should not go and pray, all right, but Atiku lives in Dubai. He only comes home on the eve of every election, and he will lose in January. By February, Atiku will be back in Dubai,” he said.
The Edo North senator’s remarks followed Tinubu’s visit to Makkah to perform Umrah, during which the President was granted access to pray inside the Holy Kaaba.
Tinubu had said he sought wisdom and resilience to continue serving Nigerians and returned to express gratitude to Allah after undertaking a similar pilgrimage before the 2023 presidential election.

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has accused the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari of selling crude oil before it was extracted, saying the President Bola Tinubu-led government is still paying the resulting debts.
Mutfwang spoke on Monday at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections at Government House, Rayfield, Jos.
He blamed the previous administration for the economic challenges inherited by Tinubu in 2023, arguing that the current government needed time for its reforms to yield results.
“Part of the problem of the Buhari regime is that they got to a point that they didn’t know what to do, so they sold our future crude.
