Reactions As Senator Ned Nwoko Cautions Members Of Public To Give Regina Daniels Breathing Space

Senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to Nigerians, particularly fans of his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, as well as bloggers and social media commentators, to respect her privacy and allow her time to address her personal and health challenges without public scrutiny.

Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his official Instagram account on Monday, November 2, 2026, urging the public to show the actress compassion, love and encouragement rather than subjecting her to criticism and negative commentary.

The senator said his concern extended to their children, who deserve to see their mother receive the support and understanding she needs during what he described as a difficult period. He added that Regina had endured more than many people might realise and needed kindness rather than judgment.

Referring to a video shared on the occasion of Regina’s birthday, Nwoko said the footage offered the public a glimpse of some of the health challenges she had been experiencing. 

He urged people not to use the situation as an opportunity to criticise her but to allow her the space and time to recover.

The lawmaker also expressed concern over the circulation of alleged fabricated reports about the actress, including false death announcements and misleading publications about her health and personal circumstances.

According to him, Regina sees many of the posts circulating online, and the reports cause her considerable distress instead of helping her through her challenges.

He therefore urged fans and supporters to resist the temptation to share unverified claims for engagement and to discourage others from spreading information capable of causing further emotional strain.

Nwoko issued a stern warning to bloggers and social media users allegedly responsible for deliberately publishing false information about Regina’s death, health and private life, urging them to desist from such conduct.

He disclosed that the publications were being documented and warned that those found responsible could face legal action through the appropriate channels.

The senator maintained that the actress deserved privacy, compassion and the opportunity to recover without being subjected to constant speculation, fabricated reports and public judgment.

His appeal has renewed attention on the public discussions surrounding the couple, with the senator calling on social media users to exercise restraint and consider the emotional consequences of their online activities.

He stressed that, regardless of public interest in the actress’s personal life, her well-being and the privacy of their children should remain a priority.
